Description
Daniel Rhoads came to California from Missouri in a general migration to Sutter's Fort, lured by gold. Daniel and his brother, John Pierce Rhoads, were two members of the rescue party for the Donner Party. He settled near Kingston in Fresno County. He and his wife, Amanda, had seven children. His grandson, Earle, settled in San Jose.
