Photograph of Mule belonging to Hopi Indians, ca.1900-1901. At center, a small burro is visible. Its front two hooves are on a low stone or adobe step in front of a small doorway. Above the doorway, a wooden post can be seen protruding from the wall. The burro is facing left toward a wooden ladder leaning against the adobe. In the background above the adobe structure, a higher adobe structure and doorway can be seen.
