Photograph of a view of Elias Jackson "Lucky" Baldwin's Rancho cottage club house from across the lake, ca.1887. At center, a two-story Queen Anne-style building is pictured, featuring a bell tower or turret at the top of the roof. The surrounding land extends only briefly before ending at the edges of the lake. At the left side of this plot, trees with hanging branches skirt the water. Baldwin accommodated guests here. At right, what appears to be the boat house is pictured. A small bridge is visible at right. A note attached to CHS-88-2 reads: "Guests of Elias Jackson "Lucky" Baldwin were accomodated at the Queen Anne cottage on Baldwin's ranch. Photo about 1887"
