Photograph of aviator Philip Orin Parmelee flying over the hangars and field at the Dominguez Hills Air Meet, 1912. Parmelee's biplane is high in the air at center and is flying towards the camera while banking to the right. On the ground below, a large tent serving as a hangar is visible at right, and a low wooden building is at left. There is an American flag billowing in the wind near the building. Several cars are parked around the building, and the outline of an airplane can be made out in the tent.
