On June 14, 1976, a major fire burned on the San Anselmo/Sleepy Hollow divide. It threatened many homes on Fawn Drive and Fox Lane. Eventually the blaze burned 52 acres, damaged five homes and requiring the evacuation of 50 homes. It was put out with the help fo aerial tankers. The cause was linked to a 12-year-old boy playing with matches on Robert Dollar Drive.
