Description: Exterior view showing school girls standing around a swimming pool in the grounds of the Chogoria mission. The pool was built as a result of a private donation in 1951 and allowed the children to learn to swim as there was a lack of natural pools in the area. ❧ The image is from the collection of Dr Archibald Clive Irvine (1893-1974) showing the period from 1928-1961 at the Chogoria mission which was established in 1922.
