Sunset Boulevard (now Commerce Avenue) runs diagonally through the lower right corner of the image, dotted by automobiles. Michigan Avenue (now Foothill Boulevard) runs diagonally through the lower left corner, intersecting Sunset in the foreground of the image. Buildings, both commercial and residential, sit amidst trees and expanses of undeveloped vegetation the roof of a building along Michigan Avenue reads "Globe Flour". The snow-topped San Gabriel mountains sit along the horizon.
