Across the street from the Sentinel Hotel is a small rise with two trees (mainly trunks with spare foliage) which extend beyond the photo; in the middle distance is the Sentinel Hotel; in front of the hotel to the left is an four-horse drawn carriage, filled with people; on the left a large evergreen behind the hotel stretches almost to the top of the photo; in the background to the left Yosemite Falls cascades down a large rock face.
