Photograph of avocado plantings on terraced land in the Whittier district, [s.d.]. The terraced land is highest on the far left and decreases in elevation towards the right. Each level has a row of avocado plants which climb up wooden poles. The plants are each protected by small blankets. Other fields can be seen in the background on the right at the foot of the hill.
