Description
Photograph of two shepherds by a large flock of sheep, in Palestine, ca.1900-1910. A shepherd stands amidst his sheep in a dark cloak at center, while another stands in the corner at left. A light-colored lamb stands in the central foreground, surrounded by other sheep which are either sitting or standing, and a lone rooster struts at left. An old wall with a small door appears in the background, between two structures with flimsy rooftops.
