The Lytton Center of the Visual Arts was located at 8150 Sunset Boulevard, within the Lytton Savings and Loan Association building, formerly the site of the Garden of Allah Hotel. Considered as one of the earliest corporate art programs in the United States, the Lytton Center actively promoted and exhibited the works of emerging California artists and housed the pre-cinema collection of Lytton Savings and Loan president, Bart Lytton. The center was closed in 1969 after the merger or Equitable, Lytton, and Mission Savings. Photograph article partially reads, "The center's current revolving exhibit--they change every three months--is 'The Changing Face of Beauty,' an investigation into the diverse types of beauty that have stirred men's hearts since Cleopatra was Cleopatra and not Liz Taylor."
