Description
Am Dulutisee, Familie Becker und Pätzig ("At lake Duluti, Becker and Pätzig family"). Photograph of two women and three children at the reedy bank of a lake. Hermann Becker (1882-1960), from Essen, served the Leipzig Mission in East Africa. After a short stay in Masama he took over the station in Shira. Max Pätzig (1885-1983), from Saxony, started to serve the Leipzig Mission in Arusha in 1928. He was accompanied by his wife Johanna and three children. He worked with the Waarusha and the Maasai in and around Arusha and Naberera. Until 1940 he was active in Africa.
