Description
Caption from February 25, 1975 Sacramento Bee reads, "Gazebo Restoration: Heather Garcia of Angel's Camp, Calaveras County, enjoys the sunshine in front of a century-old gazebo in Utica Park in Angels Camp. THe gazebo is being restored as a community project. Once part of a saloon next to the Angels Brewery on Main Street, the structure was a place where men gathered during the gold mining era. The brewery closed early in the 20th century and was destroyed by fire in the 1920s. The gazebo was not damaged by the fire and was moved to the city park."
