Title supplied by cataloger. Photograph caption dated July 24, 1987 reads, "Rescued from an Oriental wilderness where they barely survived their first year of life, the visitors Basi, now 7, and Yuen, now 6, crossed American soil for the first time in banner bedecked cages held in place by cargo netting. Then they embarked on a two-hour journey to the San Diego Zoo where they will go on exhibit through next February. Zoo officials expect the pandas to attract more than 1.5 million visitors during the 200 days they will be on view. A portion of the admission proceeds will be given to a wildlife preservation fund in People's Republic of China."
