Description
Photograph of a view of Mariposa Street as seen from the Court House, Fresno, 1902. A strip of grass and pavement terminating in a tree surrounded by a circular patch of grass is pictured in the foreground, with trees to either side. Beyond this, the paved street is visible, lined to either side by Victorian-style high rise buildings. A streetcar appears to be off its rails at center. A water tower and the spires of several more ornate buildings can be seen. Legible signs include: "Bunker & Colson Drugs / Kodaks Cameras [...] Supplies", "All Pay Cash Here... All Save Money Here", "Hall Implement Co.", "Hollands", "O.J. Woodward / Temple Bar / A. Woodward/ 1889", and "Goldstein [...]".
