Photograph caption dated January 29, 1985 reads, "Helmeted Los Angeles police officer checks smashed front window of RTD bus that slid into a pole on rain-slickened streets in Chinatown and left 11 passengers injured, four of them seriously. It was just one of several rain-related accidents to plague Southland yesterday."
