Bust-length portrait.
Born Parthenia Peter in 1832, to Hardin and Mary Peter, in Kentucky. Worked as teacher in Kentucky. Married James Boice Rue in 1854. Appointed to State Board of Lady Managers for the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Died in 1915.
