Description
A woman wears a ballet costume of a country girl. She wears an above ankle length yellow dress with blue ribbon detailing all over the skirt and sleeves. The bodice is laced with pink ribbon up the front and a small corsage of blue and pink flowers is pinned to the neck, which is square-cut and low. The sleeves are finished with two tiers of lace ruffles and a blue bow at each elbow. The skirt is very wide and full, and looks as if it is held out by panniers. White half-circles of a light-weight fabric are attached in scallops above the hem. The same white fabric is attached as an apron, which is also decorated with a blue ribbon design and small pink flowers. She wears a blue ribbon choker with a blue bow around her neck. She wears a small yellow bonnet with a pink ribbon, blue flowers, and decorative leaves. A string of small, pink flowers drape from the back of the bonnet. Her hair is dressed in large ringlets at the back. She wears light pink shoes and white stockings. She holds her apron in both hands while standing on one foot with her toes pointed, and seems to be dancing.
