Photograph caption dated January 12, 1962 reads "Joseph M. Quinn (left), special assistant to Mayor Samuel W. Yorty demonstrates features of a civil defense rescue truck at a meeting of the North Hollywood American Legion Post No. 307. F. L. Tripp, operator of the truck, and Eugene Hornbostel (right), past post commander and 20th district civil defense coordinator, aid in the demonstration. Civil defense workers set up an emergency medical station under simulated air attack conditions at the meeting at Legion Memorial Hall."
