Title supplied by cataloger. Rouben Ter-Arutunian (1920-1992) was a famous costume and scenic designer for ballet, modern dance, opera, theater and television. Ter-Arutunian is credited with designing costumes and/or sets, for 24 Broadway productions. He was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Costume Design twice, as well as being nominated for the Tony Award for Scenic Design three times. Photograph shows the American Ballet Theatre in its Los Angeles premiere of Balanchine's "Ballet Imperial", with costumes by Rouben Ter-Arutuian. Pictured in the middle is Susan Jaffe, with several other ballerinas in the background, which unfortunately are not identified. Photograph dated March 3, 1988.
