Description
Opening day of the MTA Orange Line at the North Hollywood Metro Red Line Park and Ride, located at 5350 Lankershim Blvd. This photo shows Los Angeles City Councilman, Bernard Parks, riding the Orange Line and holding up an orange ribbon, which reads, "Orange Line. Metro Orange Line opening", other dignitaries can be seen sitting in the seats behind him. Mr. Parks represents the 8th district; he is also the former Chief of the Los Angeles Police Department. A position he held from August 12, 1997 to May 4, 2002. Photo dated: October 29, 2005.
