Description
View of downtown Pasadena. Inscribed on photograph: "J.A.R." with Jno. Brown's sons, Sep. 1886, Pasadena, Cal." The photograph shows crowds of pedestrians, both male and female, walking in the same direction, away from the camera. The street is filled with horse-drawn vehicles carrying passengers. On the left-hand side, a shop sign reads "City Meat Market". Along the right-hand side of the road are several buildings. The road appears to disappear over a hill in the background, near what appears to be an unfinished tower on a building or perhaps a church.
