Frank Covarrubias, a long-time employee of the Huntington Hotel on Oak Knoll in Pasadena, takes a sad, last look on October 21, 1985. Many people came to say their final goodbyes to the Pasadena landmark, which is closing for not being earthquake safe. Preservationists, however, are fighting to give it a new lease on life.
