Description: "Equipment is being moved into this new building at Gerber Road and Wilbur Way with production scheduled to begin next month in the first western plant of the U.S. Ceramic Tile Co. of Canton, Ohio. The $200,000 structure is located near the plant of Keyes Fibre Co., visible in the distance. It was build by the Central Coast Construction Co of Berkeley. The plant will be operted by a new subsidiary of U.S. Ceramic Tile, called Western States Ceramic Corp. It will manufacture tile for residential, commercial and industrial use and will employ 50 persons initially"
