A large group of people in evening attire pose on the Long Beach Municipal Auditorium floor. Behind them is the auditorium's stage.; Completed in 1932 from plans drawn by J. Harold McDowell, the auditorium replaced Long Beach's first Municipal Auditorium. It extended 500 feet out into the Pacific Ocean at the foot of Long Beach Boulevard and was demolished in 1975 to make way for the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center.
