Photograph caption dated October 14, 1964 reads, "Two members of 'Sweetest Day' committee dressed as Pluto and Goofy give presents to Eric Thaheld, 6, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Burbank. Charity groups, chambers of commerce, others combined in efforts yesterday to make children happy as part of observance of "Sweetest Day Week," nationally observed this year Oct. 12 through 17."
