Description
Woman wears a white court dress with short sleeves and an empire waist. The low neck is trimmed with three tiers of white lace that go over the shoulders and sleeves. The sleeves are puffed and edged with an additional two tiers of lace. There is a sash under the bust with a diamond shaped decoration in front. The hem is finished with a wide band of raised, pink decorations. The dress has a long, matching pink train that is hemmed with the same raised motif. The woman wears white shoes and elbow-length gloves. She carries a partially opened white fan and wears a double-stranded pearl choker with a central brooch. The woman wears pearl and gold drop earrings. Her headdress is very elaborate with a golden diadem holding many large white plumes. Long, narrow lace lappets with rounded hems droop down from the diadem on either side. Written in pencil below the printed text is "1821."
