Photograph of a drawing by Henry Chapman Ford depicting the ruins of the Mission La Purisma Concepción at Lompoc, 1883. Two birds fly overhead above the remaining brick walls of the mission, their roofs long since collapsed (no debris is pictured). A small shack is visible intact behind the ruins to the left. Mountains can be seen on the horizon and foliage can be seen to the left. Chapman's signature appears in the left bottom corner. In the right corner, he has written "Purissima (Old)".
