Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated October 17, 1953 partially reads, "Four men, armed with sawed-off shotguns and revolvers, were sought today after they held up 30 patrons in a fashionable Ventura boulevard night club, slugged one man, and escaped with several thousand dollars in cash and other valuables. Minutes later the four abandoned their first getaway car and, invading the home of a Beverly Glen couple, bound them up and took their automobile. Det. Frank Lynch, of Valley Division police, said the bandits entered the Pump Room, 13003 Ventura Blvd., just before midnight last night. He said they took $1700 from the safe, $400 from the cash register and an estimated $2500 in cash and valuables from customers. Jack C. Lentz, of 7255 Darby Pl., Reseda, gave a graphic description of the hold-up."
