San Diego architects Johnson, Hatch & Wulff designed the third floor Wangenheim Room for the new Central Library Building. Funding for the room and seventeen hundred rare books were bequested by Laura Klauber Wangenheim in memory of her husband, San Diego banker, civic leader, and bibliophile, Julius Wangenheim. His international collection of books, which focused on the history of the book and included examples of early printing and fine bindings, became the basis for the San Diego Public Library's distinguished fine and rare book collection. Title supplied by cataloguer.
