View of a street with 3 separate buildings; 3 cars are parked in front; on the right is a 3 storey building - on 1st floor a sign says "Miller Aut..."; 2nd and 3rd stories have 5 vertical windows visible with apparently 3 windows per section;next to it on left is a 2 storey building with 3 tall windows on each floor; on first floor 4 Corintian pillasters divide the facade; on the extreme left is a one storey building with two arched sections on the right and an awning on the left.
Walter Hepting was born in Sacramento (father was from Switzerland, mother from Germany). Worked for the State Treasurer's Office. Was amateur historian, collected old photographs and images of Sacramento.
"known as Hooker & Co. 'Hardware' Erected about 1855." Now Gumshing Barber Shop.
