Description: The photo caption published in the Sacramento Bee on April 22, 1968 states: "The W-X Streets Freeway interchange, center, is almost ready for business. It is scheduled to be completed by the middle of the year. The view is looking east with the Sacramento High School in the background. The interchange will allow motorists to travel on Interstate 80 from the San Francisco Bay area to Reno without encountering a traffic signal."
