Ox team pulling logs headed to the Ganser Mill. R.D. "Tune" Haun is shown driving Ganser's ox team with a two - log load in 1897. The logs are headed west through Quincy to the Ganser Mill (about 1 mile). Until the advent of the railroad in 1910, most lumbering was for local consumption. After 1910, local lumber was shipped to world wide markets.
