Description
Sports events are big features of the Uplifters' annual outing. This photo on September 10, 1938, shows Dr. Frank F. Barham, center, who is in charge of the horseshoe pitching, settling a little argument between Capt. Bud Curtis, left, and Herman Paine, president of the club, over whose horseshoes are leaning against the stake.
