Title supplied by cataloger. Typed caption on back: "Scene in one of the 13 large can fruit canneries located in Santa Clara County, California. This cannery, one of several in San Jose, the leading city in the valley, employs 360 persons, mostly women and young girls; handles 4000 40-pound boxes of fruit per day, and its warehouse capacity is 100,000 cases of 24 quart cans per case. In size and other respects it is typical of the other canneries in this valley." Written in pen on back: "Fruit cannery - Peaches San Jose, Santa Clara Co., California."
