Photograph identification: Boat yard operated by the Hickory Barge Company (Forest County, PA). Flat boats were built bottom side up on the timber frame deck and turned over when launched. A flat bottom is turned half way over the picture and is being launched into the river. Note the men with snubbed ropes easing the boat over into the water. CSU Chico holds digital copy only.
