Photograph caption dated April 4, 1964 reads, "Clark White, left, and Jeff 'Mickey Mouse' (note ears on helmet) clear a hurdle while practicing for Sunday's motorcycle steeplechase at Ascot Park. White, from Bakersfield, will be the favorite in the 15-lap feature. A field of 160 riders will begin competition at 2 p.m. for the 16-event program."
