"At the Mure Memorial Hospital. Mrs Ratnabai Stevenson soon to retire after about 40 years service". Portrait of Mrs Ratnabai Stevenson, a worker at Mure Memorial Hospital for 40 years. Dr Agnes Elizabeth Henderson. daughter of Sir William Henderson, arrived in Nagpur in 1890 and founded the hospital in 1896. She retired from work in 1922 but continued to raise significant sums of money to extend the hospital and as a result new wards were constructed. Doctor Henderson died in December 1925, and as a tribute to her memory the Church at Nagpur was named after her.
