Description
Photograph of a painting by Oriana Day de Young depicting Mission Santa Cruz as it probably appeared in 1794, [s.d.]. The painting shows the mission courtyard, at the center of which two padres are standing with a donkey and a dog. At right is another padre ringing a bell attached to a wooden pole. The courtyard is surrounded by several white mission buildings, including a church at center with a cross on its roof. There are mountains in the distance and trees at their base. The painting was located at the Golden Gate Park Museum.
