Photograph of an exterior view of the "Adobe Casa of Dona Polonia Montanez", showing a patchwork roof, San Juan Capistrano, ca.1930. The one-story ranch house is shown at center, a post-and-rail fence enclosing a lush garden that leads to it from the right. The roof and awning is separated into two sections of shingles: the left side is conventionally shingled while the right side is shingled with wooden slats. To the far left, a wooden annex to the adobe can be seen, slightly shorter than the main building. This features a door and appears to be the main entrance. Photoprint reads: "Adobe casa of Dona Polonia Montanez. Originally had a chapel used for religious services in the community after the mission was closed and deserted".
