Description
Two metal rivets from the Golden Gate Bridge, in a plastic box. One is described on a library label as follows: "This is an original rivet used in constructing the Golden Gate Bridge. It was removed as part of the Bridge maintenace program, sandblased and plasted as a momento (sic) of the world's most famous span." The second rivet is identified with a handwritten post-it note as follows: "Unplated rivet from Golden Gate Bridge gusset plate 1973."
