Carroll Pitts, Jr. received these words of commendation and thanks from Pepperdine University administrators David Davenport, Howard White, Charlie Runnels, M. Norvel Young, Doug Plank, and Jerry Rushford. These notes accompanied gift copies of the "Crest of a Golden Wave" pictorial history book about Pepperdine produced for the university's 50th anniversary in 1987.
