Description
View of a street and field in Neenach, an unincorporated community northwest of Lancaster in northern Los Angeles County. According to the sign, Neenach has 805 inhabitants and sits at and elevation of 2,350. Neenach was founded in the 1870s by Danish settlers from Neenah, Wisconsin. In 1888 a post office was established; spelling errors caused it to originally be designated it as Neech, but over time the name evolved to become Neenach.
