This is a copy from the original picture taken by the Lick Observatory November 1, 1884, of the first Smith Creek Hotel -- called Jacob Wendell's House at Smith Creek. Shows Jacob Wendell on the horse, his wife Mary in the doorway, and daughter Isadora at the window. Compliments of Louise Bonmore Wyman, Granddaughter
