Ben believes the future of the Nisei is a dark one, because they are being held as prisoners of war even though they are American citizens. He states the Nisei must realize the propaganda against them and the prejudice they will face when they leave the camps. They must think and prepare for the future. Bentley Wells was employed at Manzanar.
