One of the white elephants of the Madera Lumber Company. Section 28 T 3 N R 17 E. This was a small, circular sawmill and the lumber was transported on very heavy, large-wheeled trucks from the north fork of the Tuolomne River to a point on the Standard Lumber Company's logging railroad near Confidence. The picture shows one of the large steam tractors used for hauling trains of trucks. The mill was abandoned about 1920
