Description
Photograph of the Security Trust & Savings Bank building on Spring Street and Fifth Street, Los Angeles, ca.1926. The street is congested with automobiles as a cable-car tries to make its way through at the right. Dominating the majority of the left and center of the photo is the Security Trust & Savings building, sporting arched windows and faux columns on its first floor entrance. A few people stroll the sidewalk in front of it, while at right, a crowd has gathered on the next block, waiting to cross. A sign above the building to the right reads "The Alexandria" while a sign below it reads, partially, "Drug". The sign "5 Walkers" can be seen in the extreme right distance. A street sign extending from a lamp post at right center reads "No Parking 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM". Picture file card reads: "see dup. neg. #6786".
