Samella Lewis discusses her book, "African American Art and Artists." She explains that her book examines the lives and artwork of African American artists from the eighteenth century to the present. In addition to art, Lewis discusses new work in traditional media, mixed media, and the future of digital and computer art. Also in the interview, Lewis discusses her childhood, her education in Asian art history, and her interest in African American art history.
