Photograph caption dated November 10, 1960 reads "Bryan Gibson, commander of the American Legion Post 826, Woodland Hills, presents 50-star flag to Father Michael J. O'Conner, St. Mel's Catholic Church. The banner, one of the originals to fly over the Capitol in Washington, D.C., on July 4, 1960, was presented to the Legion Post."
