Description
Photograph of a view of the Owens River and Los Angeles Aqueduct, ca.1913. The calm water washes up on either side of the aqueduct at center as it reflects its protruding wooden beams. A man on the left manipulates one of three devices which stand along the wooden planks which top the pipe. Another man stands at the center of the aqueduct with his hands resting on his lower back while several others can be seen working at the far end. A barren field with several small structures lies on the far bank with jagged, snow-capped mountains in the background.
